Body of Work
My current collection is a body of work that is inspired by children and their carefree mark making. I painted the whole collection with my left hand aiming to work in the moment and be present with myself as I made marks. They are watercolor painted on primed board.
I moved to watercolors in 2014 when I was pregnant with my first. It has given a great ability to start and stop at a moments notice. I love playing with color and evoking emotion with my work.
I stumbled upon this medium in the fall of 2018 and have been experimenting with it ever since. I have enjoyed the free flow and the unpredictability it has. I can also light it on fire and who doesn’t love playing with fire!
